Spring is winding down in the big city as we gear up for our premier event in Bridgehampton this Summer. We have changed the date to Saturday, July 15th to coincide with the Scope Art Fair which is happening that same weekend. The private residence where we're hosting the event is about 4 miles from Scope's venue, and close to all public transportation. "Mesmerize" will feature a group art exhibition, a silent art auction, modern dance performances, live music, a wine tasting and more.

In the meantime, we have two fun party's coming up in the next two weeks. AFP artists DJ Gatto and Dennis Sebayan spin at Sullivan Room on Thursday, May 18th. The party starts early at 8:30pm with 2 for 1 drinks from 9-12am. RSVP to events@artforprogress.org for $10 reduced admission. Hope you can join us.

Our next artist networking event will be on Wednesday, May 24th at KeyBar. Many artists have come out to meet us, and chat about all of the exciting things happening with AFP. KeyBar has recently updated the sound sytem and drink menu for your increased pleasure. Join us at 7:30 for a drink in a casual atmosphere.

We'll be adding many new artists to the site when we launch the new artist community web site in the coming weeks. Some of the new features include: Artist profile pages with updateable audio, video, and images, Personal blog spaces, An artist grants database, Discounts on supplies, merchandise, and services, and many other features.
